contribution to an exhibition
As a contribution to the Urban Nature exhibition – one of the research projects that received the Bouwmeester Label (BWMSTR Label) from the Flemish Government Architect and the Flanders Architecture Institute in 2022, showcased at the Singel, Antwerp, Belgium (15 November 2023 - 17 March 2024).
Curators, design offices 1010, Fallow and Grue, invited contributions that reveal architecture's alliance with nature and the 'living matter' of our cities in the form of poetic observations and conversations with all types of users. In response to the call, Sampling proposed a visual interpretation of a traditional Latvian house with an integrated greenhouse and vegetable garden – all inextricably linked. For us, this is an architectural embodiment of a resourceful and mutually respectful relationship with nature.
